I find it disturbing when people say that only criminals or guilty people need a solicitor. Normal people can simply make a mistake. Normal people can simply be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or be employed in an industry that can cause you to come under adverse scrutiny for a variety of reasons.

I consider myself a normal person but I have made mistakes – some years ago I was charged with a number of traffic matters. I have been in the wrong place – I was arrested and charged by the police on an outrageous charge that after an exhaustive legal battle was dismissed by the court. I have been called before the ICAC due to the improper actions of an employer. I have had family law matters I needed help with. I have had family members need legal help. Put aside for one moment Paul’s exceptional legal skills, it is reassuring to understand that Paul is first and foremost a great guy, a guy you can trust implicitly, a guy who makes you feel comfortable despite the stress of a situation and as is so rare in this day and age, a guy whose word is his bond.

I have had the privilege of working for Paul during my time as a Barrister of the High Court.
